Before and After Video
Setting up your Wheelchair
Instructional Videos
When you receive notification that your wheelchair has been shipped, we recommend you purchase these seatbelt covers for the leg rings on the wheelchair.
We suggest a set of four for rear wheelchairs. This will give you a set, and a spare if you need to wash them. The 9.9 inch size should work for most wheelchairs.
The quad (four wheel) wheelchairs have two sets of leg rings, so you may want eight seatbelt covers with spare set.

Leg rings straps should go over the side rail and connect on outside.
After the wheelchair is set up and you get your dog in it, please check the following:
-
Check if the black knob in back is right on hip, as shown on alignment photo.
-
Be sure side rail is just behind shoulder, and straight from front to back. Adjustment up or down of front of side rail is made by adjusting harness.
-
On medium and large wheelchairs tilt the wheels back as seen in photo. One to two inches should work.
-
Once you’ve done this, please send photos in your Facebook Messenger chat line so we can check the adjustments.
Important Info

Set up complete - Now what?
Now that your dog’s wheelchair is all set up and properly adjusted, it’s time to roll!
A few things to know: every dog is different. Some dogs are slower to walk in their wheelchairs, some take off running!
Here’s a few tips for getting started.
-
Start slow. Five-ten minutes a day several times a day. See how your dog handles the exercise. Remember, they have not been able to to exercise much, So they need to build up their strength.
-
Do not leave your dog unattended in their wheelchair.
-
Using wheelchair inside for mealtime with elevated food bowl can be helpful.
-
Get out in front of your dog and encourage them to come to you. Treats or toys can help.
-
Be consistent and keep trying.
-
It may help to attach a leash to the wheelchair as seen in this photo.
